Herbicide Cost
Herbicide cost will vary depend on which herbicide we are using. Post emergent herbicide for broadleaf species range from $40-60/acre. Oak treatments or Russian olive sprout herbicides generally run around $70 per acre. Weed treatment with a 3 year pre-emergent will generally run $150 per acre.
Labor/Equipment Cost
Current labor/equipment cost is $150 per hour.
This cost covers repairs and maintenance of the atv and sprayer, along with pays for my time spraying, insurance, license, and my experience. Spraying weeds is very hard on equipment.
I am able to hand spray about 2 acres per hour, broadcast 3-5 acres per hour. This will give you an idea on how long it will take me to spray your property.

The service charge covers the cost of my diesel trucks and trailers. Hauling 425 gallons of water + a trailer loaded with an atv, sprayer, and 65 more gallons of water is hard on a truck. My new business model is including a service fee to cover repairs and maintenance of my trucks along with a vehicle replacement plan because my trucks are getting wore out.
